Beeman’s Republic: Loanee Discussion, Sac State Coach Michael Linenberger, and Whitecaps FC 2 Head Coach Alan Koch

Just as Sacramento Republic FC made a triumphant return #USLWest’s Top 6 spots, Beeman’s Republic makes it’s triumphant return to the digital airwaves.

First up this week is a look back at the Sacramento Republic win over Tulsa Roughnecks, featuring insight from both Republic Head Coach Paul Buckle and San Jose Earthquakes loanee Tommy Thompson.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 Head Coach Alan Koch joins the show via phone to help familiarize Republic fans with the team’s next opponent. Not only do Coach Koch and I discuss how the Whitecaps have done so far in 2015, we also talk about Sunday’s upcoming match between the Republic and Whitecaps FC 2.

After the interview with Coach Koch, the discussion turns briefly to the Sacramento State Men’s Soccer team, including an interview with Head Coach Michael Linenberger, now going into his 28th season in charge of the Hornets.

The final segment deals with the San Jose loan players and a series of listener questions. In the loan player discussion I mostly cover why it would be mutually beneficial for the Earthquakes to send down Tommy Thompson, JJ Koval, and Mark Sherrod for the rest of the Republic’s season.

The first listener question covered this week is from Zach, on Twitter at @SomeCruzDude

Other listener questions were submitted by Dan (@danieltyree)

and Eryn (@erynCA)
