Beeman’s Republic is back with yet another episode covering Sacramento Republic FC and soccer in the Sacramento area. This week’s show features a great interview with Sacramento Republic Academy Director Rod Underwood and a bit of reminiscing about Sacramento Surge’s MASL home opener this past weekend.
The show begins with the Rod Underwood calling in to talk about how things are going with the Sacramento Republic Academy. He talks about, among other things, the progress of the academy program so far and his goals for it going forward.
The discussion then turns to indoor soccer, the recent Sacramento Surge home opener, and the exploits of one man and his air horn. There is also an impromptu ranking of the top 3 halftime show types.
The topic of discussion returns back to Sacramento Republic FC for the third and final segment of the show. First is a listener suggested small report on what the Republic does to connect with and reach out to the Hispanic community. Then Josh takes the team’s How Well Do You Know Republic FC Quiz live on the air.
Hosted by Joshua Beeman, Managing Editor of Indomitable City Soccer, Beeman’s Republic is a weekly podcast recorded live on the air at KSSU.com, Sacramento State’s radio station. It covers soccer news from all over the Sacramento area as well as throughout the USL Western Conference.
