Notable
Rematches galore! Carolina v Charlotte, Minnesota United v Saint Louis FC, and Indy Eleven v Louisville City all are set for another go around, after last year saw the USL clubs all take home victories.
After being reinstated into the tournament because of an ineligible player fielded by The Villages SC in the second round, Charleston will face Jacksonville Armada FC. This is the Battery's fifth straight appearance in the Third Round.
OKC Energy travel crosstown to face local rival and NASL newcomer Rayo OKC, in the tournament's only local derby so far.
Amateur clubs L.A. Wolves FC and La Maqurina, who both made it past their USL opponents in the Second Round, will play for a chance to face the LA Galaxy.
Finally, in an act of odd scheduling, a matinee match will take place Thursday morning as the Kickers face the Strikers.
