The Republic are coming off of a midweek win in the US Open Cup against newly established Western Conference rivals Reno 1868. The win means that Sacramento face off against MLS side Real Salt Lake in a couple of weeks but in the meantime they must take advantage of Papa Murphy’s Park and gain three points at home in league play. Rio Grande Valley are siting right below Sacramento in the Western Conference and a win tonight will see them leapfrog the Republic in the standings.
