USL Weekly Attendance Report: Week 21

Derby in Louisville sets a new team record at Slugger Field

USL Attendance Report

Week 21 USL Matches

There were 18 games in USL action for Week 21. Here are a few highlights from the stands:

  • Louisville City FC blew away their individual game record set earlier this year, with 13,812 (a pure sellout) coming to see their derby matchup against FC Cincinnati. Though Slugger Field has a total capacity of 13,131 for baseball, it’s usually reduced for soccer. The club was selling standing room-only and obstructed-view seats to help meet the demand
  • RGV reported 8,866 to see a 1-1 draw against Didier Drogba, Shaun Wright-Phillips, and Phoenix Rising – a season-high for the Toros.
  • Reno 1868 drew 5,847 against San Antonio. Reno’s numbers have been consistently strong as their first season wears on.
  • Three other teams drew over 4k – Saint Louis (4,001 for a crazy win against the Rowdies), Ottawa Fury (4,360 in a win over Charlotte), and Tulsa Roughnecks (4,037 in the Black Gold Derby vs. OKC Energy).
