Celebrating Caped Crusader night, Sacramento Republic FC faced against LA Galaxy II on Saturday night at Papa Murphy’s Park, clinching a win despite an early goal made by Los Angeles in the first ten seconds of the match.

Newly signed Sacramento player, No. 28 midfielder, Luis Espino, made his debut with the team on Saturday with a goal in the twenty-sixth minute, assisted by No. 13 forward, Sammy Ochoa.

Sacramento No. 20 midfielder, Villyan Bijev, scored a goal in the sixty-first minute, bringing the Republic to take the lead despite aggressive efforts by Los Angeles.

After the match, Sacramento sits at fifth place in the USL Western Conference with six games remaining in the regular season.

Sacramento’s next match will be against Oklahoma City Energy FC on Saturday 23 September at Papa Murphy’s Park.
