I typically don’t arrive super early for things, but this morning was different. After all, Major League Soccer (MLS) is coming to the Capital City, and with it, the greatness of a club we all love and hold near and dear to our hearts — Sacramento Republic FC. So naturally, I wanted to get a good seat to witness history. The buzz inside The Bank is palpable. Final touches are being made on what will be a landmark day for Sacramento.
The Old Glory Red as the backdrop for the stage has never looked so beautiful. You heard it here first — our color scheme will be the best in MLS.
The morning started early with bagels at Solomon’s Delicastessen with the shine of the Philip F. Anschutz Trophy (MLS Cup) serving as a reminder of what Republic FC will be chasing beginning in 2022. The menu for the morning was on-point as well:

With just over an hour left before the formal announcement comes that Sacramento will become the 29th team in MLS, what are your feelings Sacramento? Can you believe it’s actually happening? Sound off in the comment section below and let us know!
And stay with us all day! We have loads of coverage coming right here and through our social channels. We plan to grab player sound, the fan perspective, and more. We may even try to ask MLS Commissioner Don Garber a question or two.
