USL Championship announced yesterday their Team of the Week and Sacramento Republic FC forward Thomas Enevolsen was among eleven players named to the team. Enevolsen was recognized for his two goals and one assist across two matches, including a goal and assist in last Saturday’s 3-2 road win against Tulsa Roughnecks FC.

Since joining the Republic on August 12, Enevoldsen has been sensational scoring eight goals in just 10 games. He now has 13 goals on the season that includes his stint with Indy Eleven, and he has recorded five assists. He is also tied for second in the league in shots with 79 (Phoenix Rising FC forward Solomon Asante leads with 96).

Enevoldsen is also up for USL Championship Goal of the Week, which will be announced on Thursday after voting concludes at 9am PST. As of writing this, he has 38 percent of the vote — just four percentage points off the leader Wilson Harris who had a pretty spectacular goal. Enevoldsen’s was awesome in its own right. If you missed it, you can watch it below:

With two more league games left in the season and playoffs on the horizon, the Republic are going to need Enevoldsen to keep it going on the offensive front. Based on what we have seen so far, there is no reason to believe he will not keep it going.
