USL Championship announced Tuesday the Team of the Week for Week 27, and Sacramento Republic FC forward Thomas Enevoldsen was recognized for his two-goal, one assist performance last Saturday night in a 3-0 victory over Tacoma Defiance. It’s worth noting that Enevoldsen also recorded 21-28 passes in the match.

Enevoldsen has been nothing but stellar since his arrival to Sacramento on August 12. In his first match with the Republic on August 18, he recorded his first goal and brace, and also delivered a beautiful ball towards the box to Keven Aleman who controlled it with his chest and quickly flicked it to Cameron Iwasa who easily scored.
The Republic will continue to need this level of production out of Enevoldsen if they plan to get things rolling in September. Can they build off Saturday’s win and three points? We will find out tomorrow when they travel to Texas to face Austin Bold FC in a mid-week match up.
Austin is currently fourth place in the standings with 40 points, while Sacramento sits in seventh place with 37 points. So it almost goes without saying that tomorrow’s match (like all matches here on out) is massive from a playoff standpoint. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30pm.
