Sacramento Republic FC announced Friday they have made a deal for a new sponsor to be displayed on jersey sleeves, warm-up top sleeves and academy jersey sleeves, in Raley’s supermarkets.
“With Raley’s deep commitment to Sacramento’s families and neighborhoods, Raley’s is a natural addition to the kits designed to represent the indomitable spirit of the region, on and off the field,” said Republic FC president and COO Ben Gumpert in a team statement. “I remember fondly my trips to Raley’s in my neighborhood growing up in Sacramento. And now, I’m looking forward to continuing to work with the thousands of Raley’s team members who create a profound impact in our community year-round.”
The new-look kit will be unveiled Monday for Sac Republic’s scheduled first game back since the coronavirus shutdown, when they will host Tacoma Defiance at Papa Murphy’s Park behind closed doors. That game can be watched locally on KQCA My58 and nationally on ESPN Deportes.
The sponsorship expands the partnership between Raleys and SRFC, with them teaming up to deliver groceries to homebound seniors the past few months, among other initiatives.
The club says the jersey sleeve sponsorship is the eighth in the USL Championship.
