Sacramento Republic FC have launched the third edition of their Kickstart program, intended to help local small businesses. This time around, in honor of Women’s History Month, the businesses in the running for financial grants, with support from Suncrest Bank and the Sacramento Metro Chamber, are women-owned.
In fact, voting is happening right now to determine the five finalists for the money, so head over there by Tuesday to vote and help narrow the field to the top five contenders. All told, there are 40 small businesses in the running, and you can vote for five businesses at a time, once a day while voting is still active.
Vote for your favorite Kickstart nominees!

Your vote could help your favorite, local women-owned small business receive a grant up to $5,000, in partnership with Suncrest Bank.

All five of the finalists will receive grant money, three $1,000 grants each, $2,500 for 2nd place, and $5,000 for the winner of the Kickstart program. The award winners will be determined by a panel of local business leaders, community leaders and KCRA’s Michelle Dapper after the public voting round narrows down the finalists.
It’s good to see the club giving back to the community and hopefully you’ll help them pick some of the grant recipients for this latest edition of the Kickstart program.
