It’s Pride Month, and in honor of that Sacramento Republic FC are doing the latest iteration of their Kickstart grant program, this one to highlight and benefit LGBTQ+-owned local small businesses.

In fact, voting is open now for the final round of the current initiative, with the public asked to vote for the beneficiaries of the grants from Suncrest Bank. 30 businesses are in the running, with the public vote meant to whittle down the finalist pool to select the winners. The top business selected by the panel of local LGBTQ+ advocates and business leaders gets a $5,000 grant, 2nd place a $2,500 grant, and three more businesses to get $1,000 each. The awardees will also get publicity from Sac Republic channels and will have additional resources available to them from Suncrest Bank.

Voting for the current LGBTQ+ themed Kickstart grants will be open until June 14, so don’t delay. You can vote at Sacrament Republic’s website.

Good luck to all the businesses in the running and Happy Pride to all!
