How to Watch Real Monarchs vs. Sacramento Republic: Lineups, odds, game thread

Can Republic FC bust their slump on the road?

Lineups:

Nabi Kibunguchy gets his first-ever start, and Rafael Jauregui gets his first start of the season for Sacramento.

Here’s who will line up for Real Monarchs:

Sacramento Republic FC get back to action with another midweek game, this one outside the Pacific Division, when they travel all the way to Utah to take on Real Monarchs on Wednesday.

Sac Republic are in a real slump, picking up just one point in their last four games, three of those at home. The most recent was a 3-1 loss to Orange County SC, in which Dan Casey was sent off early in the 2nd half and kind of sunk Republic FC’s hopes. But, they can’t dwell on what’s happened and must therefore turn their attention to what’s to come, starting with this clash against a struggling Real Monarchs side, who haven’t won yet this season, although all their results have been pretty close so far.

Casey will be out for this game on suspension, and Rafael Diaz, Kharlton Belmar and Shannon Gomez should be unavailable as they travel back from international duty. It’s unclear if Maalique Foster will be in contention or remains injured.

Can Sac Republic turn the corner and get a needed win in this midweek clash? Or are they still figuring things out? This should be a fascinating game and we’ll see what happens.

Odds:

Our partners at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Wednesday morning have Sacramento at (+115), Real Monarchs at (+190) and a draw at (+235). In other words, Republic FC are slight favorites but it’s all pretty uncertain.

How to Watch:

Wednesday’s match between Sac Republic and Real Monarchs will be streamed on ESPN+ in the United States. The broadcast is scheduled to start at 7 pm PT at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah with kickoff to follow.
