Tomorrow, the Republic will be facing the Tulsa Roughnecks FC in a must-win situation. Although there are still plenty of games left in the regular season, five to be exact, a win in tomorrow’s game can help kill Tulsa’s chances of making the playoffs. Tulsa is one point ahead in the standings, but the Republic have an advantage with three games on hand. If Sacramento get three points on Saturday, it would make it difficult for Tulsa. It would be especially difficult when considering the fact that they will have one remaining game at home, against the OKC Energy, a team vying for first place in the conference.
After tomorrow’s game, the Republic goes on a three game road trip where they’ll face Vancouver 2, Portland 2 and OCB. These are huge games that will no doubt help decide the playoff future of the team. The Portland game is probably the biggest of the three, as Portland trails the Republic by just three points in the standings.
