Yesterday we reported on a rumor that former Cal Poly midfielder and Columbus Crew draft pick Chase Minter might be headed to Sacramento Republic for this season. While that was just a rumor, albeit one with a fairly strong base since it came from a Columbus Crew beat reporter, there may be even more evidence for speculation after today.
Earlier today, the Republic twitter account posted this cool little tweet with a picture from an event at de Vere's.

Normally such a thing would go unnoticed or be quickly appreciated and then forgotten, but someone caught my eye in that photo.
Let your eyes drift from the center of the photo and settle on the gentleman in the plaid.
Now I don't know about you, but that looks a bit like this guy right here, Chase Minter.

Maybe it is him, maybe it isn't. What we do know for sure, though, is that the Republic signing Cal Poly's all-time leader in assists would be pretty cool if it were to happen.
