So this happened today.

Chase Minter, a native of Heath, Texas, could be coming to Sacramento. The midfielder spent his college years with Cal Poly and graduated as one of the top players in the program's history. He is the all-time leader in assists with 21, second in appearances with 77, and seventh in goals with 16. He was also named the Big West Conference Midfielder of the Year in 2014 and 2015.
If he were to sign with the Republic, Minter would be the third Cal Poly alum added to the roster just this season, joining former teammates Matt LaGrassa and Mackenzie Pridham in Old Glory Red. The three former Mustangs are all some of the top players in the program's history, and a reunion would undoubtedly pay off for the Republic this season.
Although it would certianly be interesting to reunite the three former teammates in Sacramento, nothing is confirmed at the moment. A Sacramento Republic spokesperson told ICS that any player signing would be announced through an official press release.
