By the Numbers: Best June Ever

We look back at a great June and at a Republic offense that comes from many different paths.

It took a late equalizer from Mackenzie Pridham against a hot Arizona United team, but the Sacramento Republic unbeaten streak remains intact and the team continues to reside near the top of the table. The draw against AZU wrapped up a pretty great month for the Republic. On this week's By the Numbers, we break it all down.

8 - The Republic is currently on an 8 game unbeaten streak in USL play, their longest since 2014.

9 - For some reason, June tends to be a good month for the Republic. The team's current unbeaten streak in June is 9 games, with the most recent loss being the one to the Austin Aztex on June 6, 2015.

3 - The Republic have gone unbeaten in three out the four months of the 2016 season (March, May and June).

2.0 - Points gained per game in March, May and June for Republic this season.

0.8 - Points gained per game in April for Sacramento this season.

9 - Players who have scored a goal for the Republic this season.

4 - Republic players who have scored more than one goal this season (Klimenta, Iwasa, Jahn, Thompson).

5 - Republic layers who have recorded an assist this season (Kiffe, Klimenta, Stewart, Barrera, Iwasa).

62.5 - Percentage of the Republic's goals that have been assisted, meaning that a pass or cross from another player led directly to the goal being scored.

1.86 - Ratio of Shots on Goal by the Republic to Shots on Goal by their opponents

8 - The Republic has recorded more Goals, Assists, Points, Fouls Committed, Yellow Cards, Red Cards, Shots and Shots on Goal than their opponents so far this season.

21 - The Republic's current unbeaten streak when scoring at least one goal.

8 - Consecutive games in which the Republic has not been shut out, their third longest scoring streak ever.

12 - Points gained all-time out of a possible 15 against Seattle Sounders 2, Sacramento's next opponent.

With the scoring streaks and unbeaten streaks approaching near record levels for Sacramento, things seem to be falling into place for Paul Buckle's team. The Republic  will be looking to continue this trend when they host Seattle Sounders 2 at home this Saturday in the third matchup between the two teams this season.
