Republic By the Numbers Week 25: Heading Home in October

Indomitable City Soccer/Alex Leguizamo

A draw last weekend in a very unusual looking game against LA Galaxy II saw Sacramento inch closer to setting unbeaten records and to start clinching home games in the playoffs.  This week, we break down those numbers and more in by the numbers.

9 -€” The Republic's current unbeaten streak.  This is tied for the second longest unbeaten streak in team history with a nine game unbeaten streak earlier in the season.  A win or draw against Los Dos this weekend would tie the team record.

6 -€” Games that Republic has played on the road against Galaxy II since 2014.

0 -€” Losses suffered in those matches.

2 -€” Magic number of points for Republic to clinch hosting a first round playoff game.  This can be accomplished by a win or draw over Los Angeles on Saturday.

4 -€” Magic number of points for Republic to clinch a top two seed in the West.  This can be accomplished with a win against Los Angeles and if Oklahoma City and Colorado Springs fail to win.

9 -€” The league-leading number of assists by Danny Barrera this season, the most ever by a Republic player in a single season.

28 -€” Total assists by Republic this season, currently tied for fourth most in the USL.

73.4 -€” Percent of goals scored by Republic that have been assisted, the third most in the USL.

3.55 -€” Shots on goal Republic takes per every goal scored.

3.58 -€” Shots on goal Republic allows per every goal conceded.

15 -€” Players who have scored for Republic this USL season.

4 -€” Players who have scored three or more goals for Republic this USL season (Cameron Iwasa, Mike da Fonte, Tommy Thompson and Harry Williams)

Will Sacramento tie their own record for longest unbeaten streak?  Will they lock up a home game or two this weekend?  Will Iwasa break through and take sole possession of the Republic's single-season goal scoring record? Sound off in the comments below!
