In some ways it was an unusual season for Sacramento Republic FC. They used three goalkeepers.
Yes, the club has used multiple goalkeepers other seasons, too, and even with a shortened campaign in 2020, one goalkeeper got the lion’s share of minutes. But still, three goalkeepers made multiple appearances across the year.
So now, it’s time to vote for the Sac Republic Goalkeeper of the Year.
For reference, Adam Grinwis started the season as the starter, and made four appearances, allowing five goals. But his season was ended with a torn ACL. Then Rafael Diaz stepped up, and started 10 games, allowing eight goals on the season. In addition, Brady Scott, on loan from Nashville SC, made two appearances late in the campaign, and he allowed four goals in all.
