Mackenzie Pridham (finally) Signs with Republic FC

After impressing in friendlies, blossoming forward Mackenzie Pridham has made it official with Sacramento Republic.

Former Cal Poly forward and now-USL veteran Mackenzie Pridham has signed with Sacramento Republic FC, per Tuesday's club release.

Originally drafted in the fourth round of the 2014 MLS Superdraft by the Vancouver Whitecaps, Pridham eventually signed with Minnesota United FC of the NASL before being loaned to USL's Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Pridham would get another shot with Vancouver, signing with Whitecaps 2 in 2015 and appearing in 20 matches.

Since arriving on trial with Republic before the first friendly, Pridham has been active on the pitch, and earned a goal against the Earthquakes this past weekend. His play has impressed members of the ICS staff, and this is certainly a boost in the wake of departed scorers.

We'll have more on Pridham later, but what do you think of what you've seen so far? Has Pridham matured into the consistent goal-scorer that Republic needs, or is this a depth move? Leave a comment below!
